T-Shirt Designs
Thanks for all the interest in American Cliche t-shirts. Here are the two designs we’re looking at. There is two different graphics, but Manny put them on both white and black backgrounds to see what they’d look like on black and white t-shirts. Thoughts? Speak up!

Logo looks fresh. Would like to see “American Cliche” stand out a little more tho.

Really like it!! Can’t wait to see the t-shirts, I’ll wear my with pride:-)

Not sure what I think of it…looks a bit too ‘American Eagle’ brand—loud and obvious. That said, I would still wear just because I love the show.
Great idea to have a t-shirt. Can’t wait to spread the word.

Would it be centered, or maybe up off the shoulder??
July 11th, 2008 at 7:14 am
That is still open for debate, but I’m think off the shoulder, offset.

That would be my vote as well…off shoulder

I prefer the top design. The bottom just looks kind of cramped. I also like the off the shoulder idea, if it works with the overall design. As for color background, I like both. Black pops, and white makes the image flow into it.
Does that make sense?

i like the top design best – looks good on either blak or white

I do have another thought, have you found the place where you are/will have the shirts printed?
You might want to ask them and see how their operation works. On white it would be 3-color, black 4-color. So there is a pricing difference, and sometimes on black they have to back all colors in white. Now that shouldn’t increase the cost because you are already printing white. Of course you never know. Also I don’t think it should be a problem with the design, but if they are backing in white, you might want to find out what your smallest size area you can print.
OK. I will stop now, sorry if that sounds confusing, or if you know all this. Hope I don’t come across sounding like an ass.
Thanks Scott!

im digging it!

i like the top ones better.

This is exactly the type of feedback I need! Manny will read all this stuff which will help the design!
Here is what I want any shirt I have designed fro AC to be:
1. Believe it or not I am a fashion freak. I want something edgy, stylish and not so inyour face that it is an AC shirt. I’m not looking for it to be a banner for the show as much as I want it to be a great piece of fashion for those “in the know.”
2. I care a lot about quality so I’m going to spend a bit more to get these done at a great place on high quality shirts – maybe American Apparel.
3. I really want this to be a collaborative effort so that in the end we can see WE designed this shirt.
Thanks for the comments gang!

I think the design in general is awesome but yeah, the top one does look less cramped. I definitely want one if you make them!

Off the shoulder sounds cool, great comments Richard. Soooooooo looking forward to seeing it.
Love to all Ac fans.

at first it looked like a vulture, but after i stared at it for a few moments, i saw it. pretty cool.

I like the top ones better, but i’d like to see the letters a bit bolder… more visable.

Love the colors, however, I think the eagle should be a more 3D to make it “pop”. I like it on the white Background. Maybe you can make the text American Cliche stand out more by making the black thicker and even putting a white stroke around the black text.

Hey Scott,
I really love your show and it would be a pleasure for me to wear the American Cliché shirt and promote your show a little bit in Germany. Regarding the design I think you guys are on the right track, but what about producing also shirts in grey? By the way my size is l.
Keep up the good work! Greetings,
Hendrik
