American Cliche on MSN

Woke up this morning to a link from Brian that the show had been covered on MSN today. Larry Carroll, who writes for media giant MTV and a slew of others, gave his take on some great podcasts:

“Are you a pod person? You know pod people when you see ‘em: They’re funny, hip, good cooks and always up on the latest news. They absorb information on their own schedule, aren’t plagued by commercials or vapid morning DJs and are typically found with a smile on their face and plugs in their ears.

Years ago, podcasting was heralded as a medium that would transform entertainment. After a few growing pains, that prediction is proving true, as legions of people now know few pleasures as great as discovering a new episode downloaded and waiting for them.”

Larry, then goes on to list AC alongside shows like Harry Shearer’s “Le Show,” “Ask a Ninja,” and USA Today’s “Pop Candy.”

Here’s what he said about us:

“For more than 100 episodes, the truth-is-stranger-than-fiction framework of “Cliche” has focused on stories bold, bizarre and bogus. Look beyond the freaks of the week, however, and you find host Scott Parent cultivating a sincere friendship with his fan base. Telling tales of his life and family that are often hilarious and always heartfelt, Parent’s “Cliche” is anything, but, well, cliche.”
