Obviously this was edited for effect. Nonetheless, it’s an interesting commentary on the state of mind of some of our young men and women that have been tasked with going to fight in Iraq.

Hi Scott:
I like your podcast. I am writing to you because I am somehow concerned about littel Emma’s acid reflux. I am not a doctor myself, but I would like to just e-mail you and Kim and hope you will do some research yourselves and talk to the doctors about Emma’s medication. I am concerned that most of the medication has side effects, and for infants, more caution should be recommended —their detoxification capacity is still rather limited, and any foreign chemicals ingested can be potentially harmful.
I hope you don’t mind me writing to you like this. I am just worried —nowadays so many patients are just sent away with pills. Sometimes there are environmental factors —foods/drinks (preferably organic, no food additices/coloring/preservative), living conditions (such as no new carpet, no new paints, no fragrances such as air freshener/perfume/fabric softener/scented baby lotions/shampoos/scented laundry products). Children, especially infants, are particularly susceptible to environmental chemicals, and it is always a good idea to be more careful.
Thanks for the podcasts, and hope Emma will get well soon with her acid reflux.
