I don't think you talk about people and animals being abused a lot. I think that all we remember because as a society we have this on a constant fore front. I am not sure on the child abuse cases but i do think if an allegation is made it needs to be looked into without bias and any preconceived notions. Interesting story about the 1 million dollar bill. Why didn't they use a special pen to mark the bill if they were unsure if . If it turns black well then FAKE! besides who really think a million dollar bill really exists.

I am no expert either, but I have seen this scenario happen to a friend of mine. He was a friend of the family, and very active in my parents church on a national level. I also had him as a third grade teacher. A few years later he was accused of molesting a boy from his class. Of course through my relationship to him I was questioned a lot rather he ever did anything to me. He had not, and I said that I did not think he was that kind of person. He lost his career, his wife, family, and was shunned from many of the local churches (oh this was in Oklahoma - Bible belt). The case went on for about 10 years, first the alleged victim would testify, then would not.

Finally in the end the child, now an adult told the authorities that nothing happen. He was punished at school for some reason, was mad and so made the claim. After that it snowballed out of control.

I was glad to hear the news, but the damage was already done.

It lasted so long, I think because all they had was the boys words, and no proof.

But would the word of the abused be enough to put the abuser away? I dont think so.. they would have to find proof to do that, otherwise people would be accusing people they hate of that all day every day all over the country.... etc.

They need proof, and not only that, but proof that it's the specific person. If they don't.. do you think they'll just throw them in jail? Don't believe so.. but again, I'm not an expert on law either. But I've seen it happen.

On the subject of the sexual abuse thing, at least here in the states, and I don't know this for sure, but I think it falls back to the state's authority. And just like murder cases requiring different evidence depending on what state your in...in California you can NOT have a murder trial without a body, but in other states you can...I would guesstimate that it works just like that. Some states you might have to prove physical damage others the word of the "abused" would probably be enough to convict. I'm no lawyer but I think that's the way it works in the US.

Jim, not sure how you access the show. I use my subscription through iTunes. In iTunes there is an option to view the album art of what you are listening to. At the bottom of the player, left corner, fourth icon on the right, small rectangle with a solid triangle. When listening to AC, click on it to show the current album cover. Then you will see what Chad is referring to. Not sure if you can see view it other ways, never tried. And yes you can look into the pic.

Not that I would know anything about that being an artist...

Ha Chad. Certainly not the intention, but if it gets you talking about the show, that's a good thing!
