My New iPod Touch
I took the plunge. I caved. I bought a 16GB iPod Touch. When the iPhone came out, I liked it, but it wasn’t worth paying a contract termination fee with Sprint. I also had no intention of settling for an 8GB iPod for $600. I did say that if they released an iPod with all the features of the iPhone, minus the phone and with more storage, I would take the plunge. I wish there was more than 16GB, but it was enough for me to jump.
So far I’m lovin’ it. The touch screen is responsive and beautiful. Video and photos look great, and audio sounds great. However, I’d be lying if I said the coolest thing wasn’t the wi-fi. I can surf the web, check email, watch YouTube videos, and instant message anywhere there is wi-fi. I can also purchase and download music from the iTunes Store. It definitely comes in handy when you want to check a sports score or email, but don’t want to haul out the laptop.
I even created a special iPhone/iPod Touch version of the American Cliche site so that it’s super-easy to get your weekly fix of AC. Special thanks to Christopher Penn for the stellar app.

Hey Scott
I can see a future, a future where a small child, a small girl child with the surname Parent, has in her possession all the mod con electronic gadgets. She will also possess the knowledge to operate, program, and utilize these devices, probably from the age of 2!
Keep up the good work, Scott. Enjoy the iPod Touch.

Hi Mark,
If she’s anything like her old man, then yeah, she’ll be way into gadgets. If she’s like her mom, then she’ll barely know how to turn on the TV
