This is the last show from the apartment at East Beach. Thursday is moving day, and Friday I head off to Vegas for the weekend with Brian. We thought about trying to do something for the show, but who knows if that will actually happen. Either way, I am really looking forward to a weekend away with my friend.

Awesome that you’re moving. I’m a fairly new listener, but I’m hooked! Congrats to both you and Kim on the baby!

I use LCD, never had any problems with it. I’m not sure here, kind of biased since I’ve never owned plasma.

Cool that you’re coming to Vegas, I live here. :)

Dirtbag of the week, fuck that fool. I can’t believe anyone would do that to a dog, or ANY animal. That guy should get several years in prison. Same with that Vick guy, he should go to jail for life.

Drug users, as always, being retarded as hell.

My first comment, hope it’s not too long. I hope do this every podcast now.

    Cheers,
    Cesar.

    Hey Scott,

Congrats on the house! Now you can experience my joy of painting! I am sad to say that the dirt bag of the week is from my home state. Cleveland is only a hour away from my hometown and I never liked that city. That guy were a complete ass, I have two dogs ages 7 and 2. All that dog wanted was love and instead gets dragged by a car, I hate stupid people. Is it me or are stupid people every where? Love the show as always. Have fun in Vegas and good luck moving!

    Hey Scott,

I’ve got a 42” plasma and have to say it’s great. Excellent color crisp, clear picture (well with an hd or upconvert signal anyway). There is some risk of burn in, but as long as you don’t fall asleep with the tv on all the time to say the weather channel, wich has one of those banners always at the bottoom of the screen, it’s cool. One big advantage plasma has over lcd is viewing angle. My friend has an lcd about the same size as my plasma, and if you get 15-20 degrees off center you can hardly see the pic. No matter which format you choose, I highly suggest you look for a tv with two or more hdmi ports. To get true hd performance you have to use an hdmi cable, and if you only have one hdmi port (like me) you’ll have to invest in an hdmi switcher (decent ones aren’t cheap). Hope that helps a little.

    Take it easy,
    Bryce

    Jason,

You are brilliant. Just fucking brilliant. Even though you are the McRib of American Cliche.

  5. Jason Says:

Wow! The McRib?! I would’ve at least thought I was the Filet-O-Fish. Wait…could I be…could I be one of those new Wraps? Come on man, I went to college, maybe the new Crispy Chicken Club at least?

Please, do let me know what you mean, so I’m sure whether or not to be offended.

...You, Cheesy Gordita Crunch, you…. :o)

  6. Jason Says:

Okay…so I was on my way home, doing my cleanse my soul of work routine when I got the McRib joke…sorry…I got it…I got it…I’m normally not so slow on the uptake, but it was a tough week…

I’m gonna go do absolutely nothing for quite some time.

    thanks

Recently, I too was in the market for a new panel TV. First I had to choose between the rivals, Plasma and LCD. This was difficult. I started by consulting friends who owned either. Now just like with celluer service providers everyone swears whichever they personally use/own happens to be numeral uno. BS, so form you own opinion. The main argument is that Plasmas won’t last as long as LCD’s but recent technology has ensured decent lifespan. I think it basically comes down to personal opinion. I chose a 42” Samsung Plasma and the picture is phenomenal[ecpecially my HD channels(WORD]. I purchased it from Sam’s which is the equivilent to Costco. They have great prices and offer excently warrenties. I don’t know if you bought the tv yet but if you didn’t, when at the store compare a LCD to a Plasma side by side. Check out the viewing angles, the LCD’s colors will start to wash out as soon as you move off center. Plasma dosen’t play that crap. Good luck Scott and remember….Don’t Settle. Peace.

  8. Scott Says:

Thanks all for the recommendations on the TV. I opted for a 42” Philips LCD. The main reason was the picture and price. It is a 1080p and I paid $1399 for it. Hard to beat.

Jason – the McRib, I’m lovin’ it.
