American Cliche #108
I recorded this week’s show in the morning as opposed to in the evening. Do I sound more refreshed? Today I have a big video shoot for the day job so I needed to get the show done and prepped.
This week I wrap up my Fiesta adventure and talk about our new house. There’s also the usual smattering of bizarre news: 10cm of pencil in your head for 55 years, animal torture for sexual gratification, and the world record for riding a rollercoaster.
Enjoy!

Thanx for reading my email!! It’s nice to see people in the US that are so open-minded like you and your mates at work. Hope everything continues to go great for you you and Kim!!
Keep the show running and think about what I told you (twice a week!)
Sebastian
P.D: yep, you answered my question!

Hey Scott,
Great show as ever! Blackpool pleasure beach is over here in the UK and the Big one rollercoaster (which is not that big by US standards) is old, shitty and looks like it’s going to fall apart at any time!

Scott,
First off – congratulations to you and Kim on the house AND the baby! I haven’t commented in quite some time – but here are my thoughts on this week’s show.
1. I am one of those crazy dog lovers (remember the kids that tortured that puppy in Atlanta – assholes!). I think owning a pet is a luxury. I say this because you don’t HAVE to have a pet – whether it be a dog or a fish or a canary. What those people did to those creatures is so sick – I can’t even think about it that much because I find it so repulsive. With all of that being said, many Psych texts say that the first step to harming people is when an individual does unspeakable things like that to an animal. Perhaps someone should cut their head off with a knife.
2. Thanks for the heads up on the Rocket Science documentary – sounds great. Did you know that there is a wine from Napa called Rocket Science? It’s somewhat pricey, but very yummy.
3. “Good Luck Margaret Pencil Head” sounds like a They Might Be Giants song.
Take Care!

I love all the new indie music I hear at the beginning of your shows. Imagine my surprise when I hear Down At The Harbor by Transition that has been on my iPod for months! Not mad about it, I loved it, you have a great taste in music and what better of a business for you to be in than podcasting. Grats on everything new !
Keep up the great work

Lucas,
Music is a passion of mine. I’m glad you dig it as part of the show.

WTF is wrong with people?
Words cannot describe how I feel about that couple who tortured those animals. Seriously… it really saddens me to know that there are people like this living free in our society. Just as Kelly says, if they do these kinds of things to animals who knows what they are capable of. “Jane’s” name should not be kept a secret. She is an adult who did horrible things and everyone should know who she is.

Great show! I have been listening since the shows in the 30s. Good luck to you and Kim and Mia in the new house. You never said how much this house was going for by the way.
Santa Barbara aint cheap.
Best of luck! your sincerity is what makes the show.

Guide for cat care tip…
Every cat found a toy that suited their needs- big cats, little cats, playful cats, not so playful cats, young, old—you name it! The cats went crazy for them. Even the toys that I looked at and said “A cat will want to play with this??” The ans…
