American Cliche #97
Doing the show from a remote location is always interesting. On one hand it is daunting to tweak the equipment and make it work reliably. On the other, it is a fun change of scenery that makes doing the show feel fresh and new. I may have to change up locations more often.
This week:
- Woman Denied Teaching Degree Because of MySpace Pic
- Feedback About SBIFF Footage of Gore and About Internet Radio
- Man Superglued to Excercise Bike and Robbed
- Mighty Minute
- Hasselhoff Controversy
- Man Upset That He’s Not Going to Die

Brian, you’re not missing a whole lot with spider man 3. pretty much everyone i talked to (including myself [because i talk to myself]) was disappointed. aside from a couple VERY good action scenes, the story was thin, the drama was trite, and the humor bordered on goofy.
but at least it’s breaking box office records.
ahem

Jim,
That is exactly the review that a friend gave me – great action scenes and cheesy love story. I think Toby and Kirsten have already said they are not doing a fourth, right? It will be interesting to see if they try and milk this thing without them.

Damm it Scott! You got me slapped. I was at this party last night having some drinks with my friends when a girl named Mia came in. he was less than atractive so I called her Mia the wonder Dog for the enire night until one of her friends slaped me. Love the show, keep up the good work.

Thanks Jim…that’s about what I have heard as well.
But for some reason, I feel obligated to go and see it, since I’ve seen the first two at the theater.
It’s kind of how I feel about 24 right now. I’ve sunk so much of my time watching all the prior seasons that some how I’ve commited to watching whatever they spew out at us…
-Chase a bomb
-Watch out LA
-Jack gives his word
Rinse, repeat…

Hey Scott,
Thanks for answering my question and I’m happy this show will not be shut down :-). As for spider man, I loved the first one because hey it’s something new and it was a good movie ( mind you i am not into comic books) never saw the second and the third looks boring. I mean there was more hype on the first two and this one seems to be going by the way side. If your looking for a great movie with non stop action Grind house is the way to go. That movie was A plus all the way.

I’m not that into comics either. I saw the first two Spiderman movies and while they were entertaining popcorn fluff, I don’t have a burning desire to see the 3rd. I DO want to see Grindhouse, but it looks as though I’ll need to wait for DVD.

On the Hassel-Subject, I’m just getting the biggest kick lately out of celebrities and the law. Here you have Hasselhoff’s ex dragging him through the mud simply because he’s a celebrity—It’s not like that kind of crap gets any legitimacy in a “real” court. And then you have someone like Paris Hilton who feels she’s being mistreated because she IS a celebrity. When in all actuality, SHE’s receiving the penalty you or I would get. This is your brain…......this is your brain on money. Gimme a break.
KITT never would’ve let that footage surface.

KITT wouldn’t have let the footage out, but the Hoff did
He has an autobiography convienantly coming out next MONTH!
“Don’t Hassle the Hoff”.
So it is about the Benjamin’s. Have to get that name out into the news when you have a book dropping.

I just got to work and got my coffee as always and started to read the news. I thought I would inform everyone that oral sex causes throat cancer. That is what i got from my search of the news this morning. I could not quit laughing think about how many people are going to use this as an excuse not to do it! Thanks to 5 U.S. scientists. They just got in the way of a lot of play. hahahah Science is such a weird thing!

My bad Joee. I think that’s a cool name actually.
You’re right, your BF will probably not enjoy these findings. I will need to hide them from Kim as well.

Scott, don’t worry about the music you use, as long as it is shorter than 30 seconds, you can use ANYTHING.
That’s why movie commercials often use all kinds of scores from other movies.
So, as long as it is less than 30 seconds long (it can be 29 seconds), you can use what ever you feel like.
So, go nuts!

We had to have our place tented for termites before we moved in. Fortunately, it wasn’t a big deal, as we weren’t living in the place yet. Still, it sucks that you had to find a hotel and everything.
