I forgot to mention this on this week’s show. Tomorrow, March 22nd, the podcasting community is trying an experiment. We are trying to show big media that podcasting can make a difference in the sale and promotion of music. For one day only we’re going to BUM RUSH THE CHARTS!. Mark your calendar, set your cell alarm…whatever you need to do to remind yourself to buy the song “Mine Again” from the phenominal band, Black Lab, from the iTunes Music Store. Black Lab has been signed to two major labels and been dropped from both because of poor marketing and general mismanagement by the label. They are now recording and releasing their own music, and doing quite well. It’s time to propel their song to the top of the iTunes single chart, even if just for one day.

All you need to do is buy their song sometime tomorrow (it has to be tomorrow so that we can make a dent in the iTunes chart) at iTunes. $.99 can help make a huge statement about new media and get you some great music in the process. Plus, Black Lab will donate 50% of their portion of the revenue to a scholarship fund being setup specifically for this event. It really is a win for everyone, well except for our firends at the RIAA.
