Looking forward to American Cliche video. Personally I'd prefer it to be in the SAME feed as the audio.

This #86 rant Linda from the Cleveland area, and I'm in graphics. FYI, I switched mouses immediately! No playing games with that! Love the show, keep up the entertainment for me. Thanks, Linda

A video American Cliche would be great, but separate. Like Nick said, some people might have problems with hard drive space or their connection speed that would stop them from wanting to subscribe. I know I might think twice to subscribing to video over the summer, when I'm away from college and back home on 56K.

Also, two of the things in this show got me thinking. Specifically, the video on child safety and the horrible story about the man found dead watching television. I agree that something like a video on child safety should be free, but I think it would be great if something similar was done for senior citizens, especially those who are living alone and don't have someone checking up on them. Of course, I'm not talking about videos on not taking candy from strangers, but something like Lifeline. A system like Lifeline should be funded by the government and available to senior citizens who really need it free of charge. Of course, something like Lifeline wouldn't help to notify officials of a person's death, but I'm sure that it could be changed in some way to allow that, such as needing the person to contact the people in charge of this system regularly. Even without these changes this system would still give senior citizens a way to contact medical services in an emergency.

Sorry for such a long comment, got a bit carried away. Also, if you don't know what Lifeline is, I'll put the website below. Like I said, it's a great system, but I think those who need it most might not be able to afford it.

hey there scott, hows it going? i think a visual american cliché would be awesome! im all for it, but some listeners may have problems downloading it (limited hard drive space etc). So it might be convenient for users if both sample's are accessible.(thats if it isn't more work for yourself!) I won't have any problems getting my visual cliché, im mac happy!.

Hey Scott,

I wasn't trying to the knock the radio show in anyway but i guess the guy who died in front of tv got me. I mean i don't anything that is more negative! How can someone be forgotten like that? That has always been my greatest fear; dying alone. I like the sound of the video idea, you make people aware of injustices in the world. Just thought i would try to clarify.

Davis,

Rent was awesome. Kim and I had seen it before in NYC, but this production was great as well. I'm not usually a "musical" kind of guy, but the songs in this are so good.

Christina,

Thanks for your comments. The video show will be free, not paid. I already tried the paid model and the overwhelming response was that peolple don't want to pay for content. As far as the approach of the show, it will be a lot like the audio show except for stories accented more with visuals. I will try and bring positive messages to you (like I try to do in the radio show), but it will be a mix of what enteratins or interests me in a particular week.

Thanks for the comments. Keep them coming!

That's the link to where they're selling this and other videos for child safety. Like I said, it's a good thing, but why charge? Anyway, here you are as promised.

Hey Scott,

Loved the show. I think the video should be like th American cliche daily, you pay for the content. This wouldn't be like America gone wild would it? like stupid people doing stupid things for attention? I mean there is enough "reality shows" that numb the mind so it wouldn't be like that would would it? I don't know but what if the video something positive? I mean there is enough negative stupid things in the world wouldn't it be nice to see something good, happy, or just plan didn't bring you down or feel sad. That's just me, but i think for once it would be good to see and hear about good, honest, Americans that are doing good and trying to make the world a better place. I think your show is great, have a good week.

I would love to see Rent. I love the movie, even though it would obviously be nothing compared to the musical. It was in my town a few months ago, but I didn't get to go. Hope you liked it.
