I was interested in the part about the teacher and the pornography issue. I believe society has shifted from "innocent until proven guilty" to "guilty until proven innocent." This is pathetic considering that initial belief was one of the founding priciples of this contry only a few hundred years ago! Have we forgotten where we came from and the struggles endured to allow us the freedoms we have obviously taken for granted. Stupid people win Darwin Awards, not 40 years in prison.

On another note, we need to stop spending our hard earned tax dollars to blow up other contries to keep our military status and spend the money to educate and maintain our country so in 50 years we still have a contry worth fighting for.

Crazy teachers. The cocaine teacher reminded me of my 4th grade teacher. I remember only one thing from her class, and that's when she said, "Hell, when I'm 90 years old, I won't have a care in the world. I'm going to sit on my front porch naked, rockin' in my rocking chair and take up cigar smoking." Kind of hard to shake that image out of your head at that age when she was already in her 60s.

The porno-showing incident reminds me of a recent investigation I saw on TV, which left me shocked:

http://abcnews.go.com/Primetime/LegalCenter/story?id=2833126&page=1

I think there's a serious lack of common sense on the legal side of things with minor issues like both of these cases. I really don't think the teacher had bad intentions.

Anyway, great America Fuck Yeah segment, and thank you for delivering such a great show each week.

I am very happy for the return of the "America Fuck Yeah" Segment. Hopefully Hitler... I mean President Bush will not find out about my great affection for the segment though. I am just not sure who is safe anymore!

This is also sort of a rant, but who the hell cares of Obama smokes or not. I saw his speech in Illinois and it was refreshing to hear a speech from a person who could read. I mean I haven't been exposed to that for about 6 years now. If the American people can overlook alcoholism (as well as drinking and driving), is a nicotine addiction really that big of a deal. I know the blow job was way over the line, but I just can not seem to understand the moral hierarchy of these things. so it goes blow job, smoking, alcoholism... from greatest to least severe right?

New time listener to the show all the way over from the Uk. Seems really good and I'll definately be listening to the next one too. Totally agree with you on Iran and that poor teacher and that budget thing made me feel sick.

Hey All,

Thanks for the positive comments about this week's episode. Always appreciated. Seeveral of you have emailed looking for the link to that website that broke down the $145 Billion. Here it is:

http://blog.thebudgetgraph.com/?p=28

It lists the sources they used as well. Definitely gave me pause.

Scott
Excellent! I must give you props on the new intro - I really loved it. I didn't notice - did you mention the name of that website during the show? Regardless of whether you did or didn't - can you post it? I would be interested in checking it out. Also - awesome choice of song to close with this week.

I just listened to your show and as always I loved it, keep up the good work. The "America, Fuck Yeah!" segment was a real eye opening shocker to me. I am a firm believer in a strong military as a necessary evil, but $7 billion to eliminate hunger in America???? Forget about just this administration, why hasn't any in the past 50 years done that? I live in Chicago and you can't walk around certain high income areas without passing several hungry and homeless people on the street and it boggles my mind how as a nation we cannot spend 5% of our Iraq budget to help these people. Not to mention all the other wonderful things this money could do. But at the same time, where were the Clinton, H Bush, Reagan and Carter administrations? Even though Bush turned out to be pretty bad we cannot forget all the others before him who made the same budget mistakes in different ways. I'd love for you to make a whole show devoted to America Fuck Yeah.
