Scott,
I don't think that I could handle having next door neighbors like yours. I think that you should definately do something, but what to do? You could leave signs on their door about how privacy is a wonderful thing.... I think that calling the police and reporting a domestic situation would only make trouble for you, but something does need to be done. That is just horrible.

Good luck! Love your show.

Scott,

I'm really glad that you mentioned the Juror here in Louisville... Yeah... Wow.

Also, I agree that you should call the police and report something...

Hey Scott,

I have a couple of suggestions for you on the whole neighbor thing. First, I would get the residents on your floor, the floor above and below you to sign a petition to stop the noise ( but make several copies of the petition first) and give it to your landlord. If that doesn't work demand a building meeting with the petition in toe to demand action. Lastly, if that doesn't work get out your video camera and record them in the act. Schedule another building with the petitions; make sure landlord is present, and force him to kick them out of the building. I mean if there are children in the building they shouldn't be doing this.

Love the show as always,

P.S- DON'T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!! Get them to stop or kicked out!!!

Hey Scott,

Just wanted to say I really enjoy your show and listen every week. I usually agree with many of the stances you take on certain issues.

I wanted to comment on your neighbors. First off, I would have slammed the door on them... that is a very good hint. The other side is that if they are knowingly leaving the door open, obviously, they don't care of what anyone is thinking about their actions - I do not think your speaking to them will do anything. Maybe get the rest of the tenants to sign a petition or letter and paste it or slide it under their door. Maybe even have the construction workers sign it to! Even if they don’t care what any ‘one’ person thinks, I would think that a letter from everyone in the building might embarrass them enough to consider their actions. They have to have some dignity, right?

Scott - It's always great to hear your thoughts! A few things...
1. I have a friend that is frequently left anonymous notes from her neighbor because of her barking dog. I truly think you should leave a note, but I don't think it should be anonymous. Sign it. The behavior of these people makes me think of trailer park - redneck - white trash that feel a frequent need to celebrate having made it to some place more spacious. Although they may realize it, their behavior speaks to their character. Ick!
2. I did a search on Delmar Burridge to read the email you spoke of on the show. Wow! I am in a state of awe that someone like that was even elected - I wonder what his district's demographics are like. Toby hit the nail on the head when he said the man was being unreasonable and forming his argument on emotion as opposed to logic. For the sake of everyone in his district and the rest of NH, I hope he continues to make an ass out of himself so that he (and those like him) are not put in such a position of legislative power again.
3. I heard you make mention that you record your shows in the presence of Mia - that must mean she is doing great - how wonderful!
4. I live in Ohio and am terribly jealous that you will be seeing Rage Against the Machine.

Have a great 10 crazy days!

with the whole neighbor issue, i would first leave an anonymous note under their door or pillow or wherever they would swiftly find it. if that doesnt work, then you may want to contact your landlord or whoever. just a though. let us know how it turns out!
