Gearing Up for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival
This weekend will be the last chance I get to relax for the next two weeks. In addition to my fulltime gig and various podcast/radio projects, I will also be working on the Santa Barbara International Film Festival Podcast team. Starting Thursday I will be up to my eyeballs in film screenings, celebrities, parties, and production work. I anticipate I will be working close to 150 hours over the next two weeks. That aside, I am excited as hell to be part of this extraordinary event.
I, like many that live here, believe that Santa Barbara is one of the most perfect places to live on this earth. The weather is fabulous 99% of the time, I live 200 feet from the ocean on one side, and I have a beautiful backdrop of mountains on the other. There are hundreds of restaurants and more nightlife than most major cities 10 times it’s size. What could top that?
This year the 22nd annual SBIFF is raging on for 10 days welcoming stars like Will Smith, Tom Cruise, Forest Whitaker, Helen Mirren, Sasha Baron Cohen, and Al Gore. I’ll be part of a the team that will be covering screenings, parties, and panels. The best part? It’s all FREE over at pod.sbiff.org. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be exhausted by the end, but I think it’s going to be a pretty unique experience. I look forward to sharing it with you!
Have a great weekend.
