For the last few days I have been sick as a dog. However, rather than take a week off, I decided to enlist some extra help from Brian, Jason, and some Podsafe artists and do a different version of what you’re used to. If this is the first time you’re hearing me, this is
NOT the norm, but I hope you’ll find it entertaining nonetheless.
Here’s what we scraped together:
- SICK
- Castration in North Carolina
- Bill – Sound Scientist
- One Man’s Opinion
- Dirtbag of the Week – Randy Johnson
- Upselling Continued
- Ambulance LTD - New English
- Special Edition of the Mighty Minute – Brian’s Recap of the Show to Date

Hey Scott, Hope you get to feeling better!! It’s hittin’ us over here in the midwest too!!
“Professional Sports”...to me it’s just another oxy-moron. Aren’t they really just entertainers? And if you don’t want to be called an entertainer and want to be part of a “team” then stop talking about what YOU should be getting all the time. What happened to loyalty? Remember when you had those players that started on a team, no matter what sport it was, and stayed there for YEARS? Now, don’t go out and buy a jersey, because you might not be able to wear it a whole season. And i really feel bad for those kids who have been asking for that jersey for their b-day or christmas and FINALLY get it (not to mention the parents who probably had to set money aside to afford it, if you are like most of us working class folk), just to find out one day “Edge” is leaving for more money.
What message do these “professional players” send to our younger generations. Let me give you my opinion… Ask for more money because you think you’re worth it, if you don’t get it, turn your back on your team and walk away. That’s the kind of role model I want my son or daughter looking up to….Not so much.
They need a reality check. They need to realize that they are only as good as the fans say they are. They can be yesterdays news just like THAT, because they aren’t anything special. There are only a handful of them that have actually accomplished something worth talking about or worth be paid a fraction of what they are being paid.

I couldn’t agree more Melissa. The kicker is that these athletes get paid millions for playing a GAME. I’d much prefer to give that money to scientists and doctors that are working on eradicating AIDS or curing cancer. Those are the real heroes that our kids should be looking up to.

Hi,
This is my first time listening to American Cliche. I have to say its been the best internet radio station i have listened to for a while.
Your storys are really down to earth and true, im going to try and listen to all the episodes and catch the show every week.
Im from scotland aswell, but im not connected to Katherine so do have some quite far away listeners.
